  • It is FREE.

  • Yes, for the safety of everyone and the capacity of the course, we are limiting the number to 150 participants overall.

  • No, we currently don’t have the capacity to mail the race bibs and shirts to participants. However, you may pick up your race bib and shirt at the SOMCAN office (1038 Mission Street, SF) before the event or pick up on the day of the event at SOMA Slow Streets starting at 9:30 a.m.

  • Yes, there will be portable toilets (both regular and ADA compliant) and wash stations.

  • Yes, there will be medics on standby during the event.

  • No. There will be no street parking on SOMA Slow Streets on the day of the event. There is street parking and parking garages available around the area.

  • No. We encourage race participants to show up ready for the race or leave their gear safely in their vehicle or leave it with a companion.

  • The following items are not allowed on the course: Dogs or any pets, skateboards, bicycles, roller blades, scooters, and any other type of vehicle.

  • Yes.

  • The Senior Mile race will start at 10:30 a.m. and the 5K race will start at 10:40 a.m.

  • The race course and finish line will close at 12:00 p.m. It will be more than enough time to finish the Senior Mile and 5K even if you walked the entire length of the course.

  • Age 60 and above for the Senior Mile distance and all ages for the 5K distance. Awards will be given to the top three finishers each distance.

  • No. You have to be at least 60 years old to join the Senior Mile.

  • Absolutely. The 5K race distance is open to participants of all ages.

  • Yes, we encourage participants to dress up in the spirit of fun and enjoyment.

  • Yes, we would appreciate your help during the event. You may sign up at our volunteer page.
